Amanda Wilder Collection
Allen and Joan New began Amanda Wilder Collection in 1978. Their love for antiques and history combined with their artistic talents enabled them to make furnishings and accessories that had the feel of ages past. They named the company in homage to Joan's Grandmother, Amanda Wilder.
All of their building and finishing is done by hand on the family farm. Once an active sulky horse barn and track, it is now home to our family business and a complete menagerie including horses, dogs, cats, goats and chickens. Libby, one of our horses, routinely pokes her head through the window in Allen's work shop to supervise (and perhaps get a carrot!)
Their daughter Ginger and her husband Bryant are continuing four generations of woodworking at their studio nestled in the woods of Killbuck Valley, Ohio. Bryant now does most of the woodworking so Ginger can concentrate on the painting, and they both work closely with her parents on maintaining, developing and preserving the Amanda Wilder Collection line.
